Geunsarok (1794)The Song Dynasty Neo Confucian scholars Zhu Xi (1130-1200) and Lu Zuqian (1137-1181) compiled passages on everyday life principles from works by Zhou Dunyi (1017-1073) and Zhang Zai (1020-1077). These woodblocks were made for publishing Geunsarok, an introductory book on Neo-Confucianism. The name “Geunsa” comes from a passage in the Analects of Confucius.
